NumisBid Auction #66
Pre-Decimal Proof Coins
22 February 2017 07:05 pm
Lot 14Australia - George V, 1934 Proof PennyAn affordable example of this rare pre-55 proof with full subdued red on the reverse and full golden brilliance on the obverse. Reverse dulled as if it were stored face down, obverse most attractive. One black spot near D has caused this coin to be no-graded for environmental damage, otherwise this is a most presentable example with far more red than can be reasonably expected for this issue which has no certified examples in RD holders. From the same set as the 1934 proof half penny offered in this auction which is the only example to make an RD holder. PCGS certified PR Genuine - UNC details.
