Buyers on NumisBid are guaranteed that the coins they purchase meet the following guarantees.
Certified Coins
A certified coin is a coin graded by either PCGS or NGC.
The coin is guaranteed to be sealed in a genuine holder of the declared certification service, free of tampering unless stated within the item description;
The coin would not be classed as a "mechanical error" by the certification service other than if declared in the item description; and
Any remarks specified by the seller reasonably reflect the item being sold.
Single uncertified coins
The coin is guaranteed genuine;
If assigned a numerical grading by the seller either through the item description or photo, the coin is guaranteed to certify at that level at either PCGS or NGC except in the case that PCGS or NGC is unwiliing to render a decision on the coin; and
Any fault that may prevent the coin from receiving a PCGS or NGC grading is declared in the item description.
Groups of coins
Groups of coins are guaranteed to reasonably reflect the item description;
Any coins visible in the seller's photos are included with the sale;
Any individual coins identified in the lot description or visibile in the seller's photos are authentic; and
Any item specified within the item description is included with the sale.
Remedies
Buyer's should first contact the seller in order to understand the problem and negotiate a resolution.
If the buyer and seller cannot come to an agreement, NumisBid will step in to resolve the dispute by collecting information from both parties and deciding on whether the seller has breached its obligations under this guarantee.
If the seller is found to have breached its obligations, they will be required to refund the buyer for the hammer price of the coin plus postage both ways.
